The North Star (May, 1976, Marauder Era)

"Of course I didn't love them. But I also didn't write them awkward love poems either, did I?" He sighed happily. "You're the best I could possibly ask for, Moony."

"I wouldn't know if you did. But, I guess you're right..." When Sirius sighed, Remus snorted. "You could ask for someone who's not a werewolf..."

"And not have an excuse to have you all cute and dependent? Pfft." He grinned, ruffling Remus' hair. "Why on earth would I ask for a boring person?" He looked back up at the stars. They really were quite lovely.

Remus blushed, but, feeling quite comfortable, slipped his arm around Sirius' waist. "You're right, I think. Mmmmm..." he hummed into Sirius' shoulder, "you should come out here with me more often..."

He smiled. "I should. It's really quie nice... Just you, me, some stars with awful names." He thought for a moment. "D'you think this is what heaven's like?"

Remus moved his head up and nuzzled Sirius' neck. "Awful? You have relatives with alot of these names..." Remus looked up at Sirius. "I dunno. It's got to be nice. I bet it's something like this."

(HOLY SHIT. THE WORD CHO IS IN CHOCOLATE. MY LIFE IS RUINED.)
"Yes. Awful. And that's exactly what I meant by awful." He kissed Remus. He tasted like chocolate and ... and happiness. Jeez, did that sound cheesy. "I bet it is. It has to be."

Remus turned and wrapped his arms around Sirius' neck to better kiss him. "I know you'd definably be there, Sirius..." he said as he rested his forehead on Sirius'.

(YES! And I can now play the first verse of "Lover Dearest." Which is my current favourite song...BUT ITS SAAAAAD)

"We'd be there together. I wouldn't survive without you." He brought the hand he had been leaning on around to the back of Remus' head. The caramel hair was soft and tickled his fingers

"Nor I. God, I am so in love with you..." Remus breathed as he swiveled to face Sirius directly. He cherished this time alone. They were together most of the day, but usually both James and Peter were there. It was nice to just relax as the two of them.

Sirius could feel Remus' breath, warm and sweet. "That's my line!". He tried to scowl but couldn't. He wondered vaguely what James would think if he found them there. I don't care, really. He'd find out someday, anyhow. He leaned into Remus again.

Remus nuzzled Sirius' neck, then slowly kissed it. Sirius smelled like chocolate. And tea. And old paper. Remus wondered vaguely why that could be...

Sirius let a small, distinctly not-manly noise escape him. His shoulders fell, relaxed. His arms tightened around Remus' neck.

"Sirius.. why do you... smell so good..." Remus whispered between licks. He settled for just leaning on Sirius' shoulder, smelling him.

He laughed. "Maybe because you're always all over me. Marking your territory.". He leaned his head back, black waves brushed the floor.

Remus picked his head up slightly to glare at Sirius. "Damn right. You're mine, and you better not forget it." He licked Sirius' cheek to prove his point.

"I'd never forget that," he whispered. "I'm always yours. Wouldve been from the start if you'd said something." He blushed deeply at Remus' tongue on his cheek. "I'll be here until you don't want me anymore, Moony. I swear."

Remus glared at Sirius and gently grabbed his hand, nuzzling his palm. "Not want you? Sirius, please. Don't be ridiculous. I'll always want you. It's you that I'm worried about leaving..."
(I forgot how to spell ridiculous. O_O)

(That randomly got the Patronus Song stuck in my head... "It starts with an E stands for 'Evil go away!' And an X then a P for Puppies, they bite when they play!"<--- BEST. LINE. EVER. Anyway, it's obviously lack of structured education that's made you go all soft.)

"Who would I leave you for? There's no one. I'm the one worried some Ravenclaw will catch your eye and he'll talk about books with you and you won't need me and my motorbike chatter.". Sirius blushed. There. There were his insecurities, in plain sight.

Remus sighed, smiling at Sirius. "Love, I don't want a boring Ravenclaw that will agree on everything. I want you, and all your daring and motorcycle nonsense, eventhoughtheyarehorriblyscary."

He felt relieved, but smirked dutifully at the last part. "Oh, you think my motorbike's incredibly sexy and you know it." Sirius ruffled Remus' hair playfully. "You love the idea of me on it, scaring birds and the like shitless."

Remus blushed, but protested immediately. "I do not! That bike is a danger to yourself and everything around it! Poor birds are going to have a heart attack one of these days..." Remus quietly mumbled, "But you do look drop-dead gorgeous on in..."

"Ha! You admitted it! I win!" He grinned triumphantly.

Remus glared. "Fine. Maybe you do. But don't let it go to your head. You don't need a bigger ego than you already have," he laughed.

Sirius kissed his cheek. "Youre so cute when you try to act angry."
